Painting is in the air! A lifetime ago I would go out in the boonie (yes beyond the boonies I usually am :0) in an old pick-up truck and paint. I found the solitude wonderful. The only interruption was an occasional wild turkey, rabbit or farmer. But usually I was left alone with my thoughts and the work at hand. I have started working on a series of landscapes based on the land around our home. To follow steps taken next see Blog "Will Art For Food"
The first piece is a mixed-media that I am working on for a local art group. It was just to get me going again with the materials. I don’t consider it to be done at this point. The other two are acrylic under-paintings. Tomorrow I will start working with the oil layer. A basic step-by-step process would be a good edition of the newsletter.

More information about “changes” will be coming as soon as I have the go ahead to tell about them.
Have a wonderful creative week all and don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Keep the emails coming :0)
I am working on revamping a large percentage of Artist-How-To, from the site, to how it is marketed. So much so, that some would say it is insane! So sadly there are some things not being shown as I work frantically ‘behind the curtain’.
For one thing I realize my blog has not been that exciting lately. I can only hope that in a few months you (and I) will think it was all worth it :0)

Ecological Opinion
Does anyone know which is more ecological? Oil or Acrylic Artist’s Paints? My knee-jerk answer was to say acrylic. But, keep in mind acrylic is plastic. Plastic is a petroleum product.
With one you need Chemicals to clean up, with the other you are putting more plastic into the world. Which is better for the environment in the long run?
Drop me an email if you have an opinion or know where to send me for any up-to-date information.
