Painting is in the air! A lifetime ago I would go out in the boonie (yes beyond the boonies I usually am :0) in an old pick-up truck and paint. I found the solitude wonderful. The only interruption was an occasional wild turkey, rabbit or farmer. But usually I was left alone with my thoughts and the work at hand. I have started working on a series of landscapes based on the land around our home. To follow steps taken next see Blog "Will Art For Food"
The first piece is a mixed-media that I am working on for a local art group. It was just to get me going again with the materials. I don’t consider it to be done at this point. The other two are acrylic under-paintings. Tomorrow I will start working with the oil layer. A basic step-by-step process would be a good edition of the newsletter.

More information about “changes” will be coming as soon as I have the go ahead to tell about them.

Personal
The deadline for the new edition of “Passion with Your Profit” is still May 1st. But I have to tell you, I am amazed at the amount of information I am uncovering. The publication is designed for the business artist in mind, and it will surely be of use to many.
I have been doing this for a while now, writing eBooks. And over the course of that time I would like to think my skills have improved. What this means is, that when I look back at some of the publications I have put out, I have to admit now there are things I would change. So for this particular publication I am concerned that if I push it too fast, it will not be the quality I want.
Even though I may need to push back the release date, I will begin to take pre-orders for the item on May 1st. The same day as the release of the Mother’s Day Countdown :0)

It is April, and in Kansas this morning we had snow flurries. Mother Nature is amazing…

Perfect For Your Spring Cleaning:
“Controlling Creative Clutter: Organizing the Artist’s Studio”
Sixty-eight pages of tips, worksheets and information on organizing, to help you get your studio or work area together and keep it that way. As a working artist, Diane knows how difficult it can be to have materials take over a work space.

I made a decision to put the release date of whatever the next edition of “Make a Profit with Your Passion: Starting a Home-Based Art Business” will be, to May 1st. It may be completed earlier than that, but if not it gives me some wiggle room.
So once the current edition is retired, that will be the end of it. It will be pulled from all other sites and stores. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
Until then we have marked it down for close out at $4.99.
